With the cricket season just around the corner, UC Browser, the popular mobile browser owned by the Alibaba Group, is back with the UC Miss Cricket Contest. To add an interactive and fun element to its cricket coverage, UC Browser has been engaging with its users through innovative campaigns. The contest invites entries from female contestants and selected ones get to interact with the users during the tournament season. UC browser partnered with Talentrack, India’s largest talent-hiring platform for the Media & Entertainment industry, to find the candidates who would go on to be the face of the campaign.

Out of hundreds of applications, 8 lucky candidates move to the next round where they carry out daily missions chosen by the users. The tasks may be anything like – wear a cricket uniform in a cute way, shoot a super funny talk show about IPL etc. The videos of their performances are posted on UC Browser. The users vote for their favourite videos and the contestant with the maximum votes wins the title. UC Miss Cricket is one of its own kind of beauty contest in India driven and judged purely by user votes.

Bollywood actor and former Miss Diva – Urvashi Rautela was one of the contestants of the UC Miss Cricket Contest 2018 and TV beauty Nishi Singh went on to win the title with 30 million votes. Post the announcement of the winner, Nishi Singh was featured on NASDAQ billboard at the Times Square in New York city. UC Browser witnessed massive jump in content consumption and engagement on its platform during the campaign, particularly propelled by cricket crazy young audience. UC Browser’s smart content aggregation features make it a go-to destination for users looking for information coupled with interactive elements. According to Statcounter, UC Web browser has 3.73% browser market share globally.
